I have noticed lately that I am drawing more and more fashion illustrations which is my secret love! I think I may have been born in the wrong era, maybe 1930s would have been better suited to my style of drawing and then I’d still be working in Advertising! Illustrating beautiful fashion though and not a Graphic Designer!!
These artworks are for sale in my Etsy store.
I am trying to spend more time creating original artwork and listing new items in my Etsy store. By selling my work on Etsy it enables me to keep creating beautiful art and also work on commissions for people. Enjoy
Make sure you pop in and visit my Etsy store by Chantal Handley!
I was really excited and extremely humbled this afternoon when my pastel painting, “Cherish”, won Overall Prize at this year’s Creative Gladstone ‘International Women’s Day’ Art Competition.
Congratulations to all of the individual winners and a big Thank You to everyone for your kind words on my FB page and to everyone who believed in me, and my artwork. xx
Here is something quite exciting!
Artist David Sandum is this year organising a Twitter exhibition for his local charity in Norway: “The Women’s Crisis Centre in Moss”, where abused women and children can get help. The centre also provides a 24 hour phone-service, counseling, food and shelter etc.
Artists contribute postcard sized, hand painted original artwork (representing a tweet), that will be sold to raise money for the charity. You can keep up to date with the exhibition on Twitter using the #twitterartexhibit hashtag.
A very cool idea, here is my contribution!!
I have had the privilege of making a beautiful friend and spirit on Facebook, Astara Lak’ech. Last week I received my copy of the 2012 Goddess Alliance Calendar with one of my beautiful pregnant women on the front cover. Such an amazing feeling to see something you have created in print!
The Goddess Alliance Australia is a beautiful organisation who support the expression of the Divine Feminine. All of the artwork and poetry seen in the Calendar are from some wonderfully creative Goddesses from all over Australia!
If you are interested in buying a calendar, please contact Astara.
If you are interested in a unique work of art then please contact me via this website.
